This newly-built property offers flexible accommodation whether you’re walking, cycling, sightseeing, or simply looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. We are perfectly located in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country – with the Hadrian’s Wall and Pennine Way National Trails only a ten-minute walk away via a direct footpath, as well as being a 3-minute walk to an excellent traditional pub offering a wide range of food and local drinks. Furthermore, you can expect easy access to a whole host of local attractions – with Vindolanda, Housesteads, The Sill, Twice Brewed, and the Roman Army Museum all located within a 5 mile radius.
The Lodge comprises two en-suite bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen, living and dining area, a drying room, and garden.
Both bedrooms can be set up with either twin single beds, or one luxurious super-king bed, with hotel linen and a pure wool blanket. Each bedroom also has its own en-suite shower room, as well as a further accessible wetroom with shower located off the living area, with hotel towels and environmentally friendly toiletries included within your stay.
Our flexible, open-plan kitchen, living and dining area includes two sofas, a Smart television, and a fully equipped kitchen with dining space. Cutlery, crockery, and cookware are all provided in the kitchen – please see below for a full list of what’s included. You will also find a dishwasher and fridge, with further access available for freezer space and laundry facilities as required. Underfloor heating throughout the Lodge will keep you warm even if it’s freezing cold outside – and hot water bottles are available for making sure your bed is warm and cosy at night.
The Lodge also has access to our dedicated guests’ garden – which sits beside the main house, with a grass lawn and views across to Whin Sill. Here, you can hear the rushing of Haltwhistle Burn as it flows along below a steep drop at the end of our garden, towards town. We have a fire pit area where you are welcome to sit of an evening – just ask us and we’ll provide you with some logs!
The Green Room, our guests’ social space, is always open for you delve into our little library or select a board game or two to take back to the The Lodge.
We also have plenty of parking available on our large tarmac driveway, with the addition of an Electric Vehicle Charger which is available for guests to use at an agreed cost.
